Scholarships

Early Career Physicians Scholarship 

Early Career Scholarship: PAMED is thrilled to provide up to 10 scholarships to participate in the Year Round Academy!

Applicants are selected based upon a point system.

The total award of $2,250 will be provided to each scholarship recipient. The out-of-pocket tuition expense would then be $250. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

Criteria:

  • Applicable to physicians between the ages of 30 and 45.
  • Physician must maintain PAMED membership throughout 2026.
  • Physician must have a minimum of 1 year of continuous membership in PAMED as of Jan. 1, 2026 (member since Jan. 1, 2025 or earlier).
  • Physician must have some demonstrated leadership experience with PAMED, their county medical society, and/or a Pennsylvania medical specialty society (e.g., active participant on a task force, workgroup, council, etc.).
  • Physician must be committed to providing additional service to PAMED, county medical society, and/or a Pennsylvania medical specialty society after completion of the program.
  • Physician must agree to attend all in-person activities and complete all program requirements as scheduled.

Emerging Leader Scholarship

Emerging Leader Scholarship: The scholarship recipient would receive a total award of $600. The out-of-pocket tuition expense would then be $1,900. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must work within a hospital-based setting.
  • Physician must maintain PAMED membership throughout 2026.
  • Physician must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous membership in PAMED as of Jan. 1, 2026 (member since Jan. 1, 2023 or earlier).
  • Must provide a letter of reference from the CEO, CMO or a Department Director of the Hospital/Health System.
  • Physician must agree to attend all in-person activities and complete all program requirements as scheduled.

Innovation/Redesign Leader Scholarship 

Innovation and Redesign Scholarship: The scholarship recipient would receive $600. The out-of-pocket tuition expense would then be $1,900. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

Criteria:

  • The applicant must work within an office-based setting.
  • Physician must maintain PAMED membership throughout 2026.
  • Physician must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous membership in PAMED as of Jan. 1, 2026 (member since Jan. 1, 2023 or earlier).
  • Must provide a letter of reference from the practice related to roles/responsibilities.
  • Physician must agree to attend all in-person activities and complete all program requirements as scheduled.
