HHS also developed model notices to help health care entities to meet new requirements. The models reflect the regulatory changes of the 2024 Part 2 Final Rule and the Part 2-related provisions of the 2024 HIPAA Privacy Rule Final Rule. Part 2 programs should use the Part 2 Patient Notice on the HHS website at: Model Notices of Privacy Practices | HHS.gov Part 2 programs that are also covered entities under HIPAA need to provide the HIPAA NPP and Part 2 Patient Notice or create a combined notice that meets the requirements of both the HIPAA NPP and the Part 2 Privacy Notice.
