Novitas will Hold an Open Meeting June 18th for Urine-based Biomarkers in Patients with Microhematuria

Novitas will host an Open Meeting on Thursday, June 18, at 10:00 a.m. ET to allow the public to provide feedback about a proposed Local Coverage Determination (LCD) on Urine-based Biomarkers in Patients with Microhematuria. The Open Meeting is held via webinar only.

Open Meetings allow interested parties the opportunity to make presentations and offer comments related to proposed LCD(s). If you wish to present comments during the Open Meeting or simply attend as an observer, please register using the appropriate presenter or observer registration link provided on our Open Meeting web page.

Presenters must register by noon ET on Tuesday, June 16^th. Observer registration will remain open through the meeting.

The proposed LCD has been posted to Novitas’ website for comments.

The following proposed LCD is the result of an LCD reconsideration:

• DL40378 – Urine-based Biomarkers in Patients with Microhematuria
  • DA60424 – Local Coverage Article: Billing and Coding: Urine-based Biomarkers in Patients with Microhematuria

The comment period will end on June 27, 2026. You may simply click on “Submit Comments” if you would like to provide comments on a proposed LCD.

All interested parties, whether attending the Open Meeting or not, are welcome to submit comments in writing on a proposed LCD. The Open Meeting will be recorded, and we will post the audio/transcript of the meeting at a later date.
