Independent Review Organization Fee Schedules; Notice 2026-10

On July 11, 2026, the Insurance Department (Department) published a list of approved Independent Review Organizations (IRO) and the fees they charge to insurers and Medical Assistance and CHIP Managed Care Organizations for conducting independent external reviews of adverse benefit determinations and grievances.

The Department is charged with approving IROs that meet certain statutory criteria. The approval is valid for 2 years unless an IRO no longer satisfies the minimum statutory requirements or is no longer accredited.
