Suspected Medetomidine Withdrawal Increase Notification - Allegheny County

Since August 21, 139 individuals were admitted to an emergency department in Allegheny County for suspected medetomidine withdrawal symptoms. Data from syndromic surveillance show that during this period people experiencing withdrawal admitted to emergency departments nearly tripled from daily averages in prior months.  Read more.
