Pennsylvania held special elections on February 24, 2026, to fill vacancies in the state House of Representatives.
In the 22nd Legislative District (Lehigh County), Democrat Ana Tiburcio was elected. In the 42nd Legislative District (Allegheny County), Democrat Jennifer Mazzocco was elected. Both will serve the remainder of the current legislative term through November 2026.
The results maintain the current partisan balance in the Pennsylvania House, where Democrats hold a narrow majority, while Republicans retain control of the Senate. The continued divided government requires bipartisan cooperation to advance legislation. Additional special elections are expected later this year ahead of the 2026 general election.
