The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) is reporting an increase in measles cases across several counties in 2026 and is urging health care providers to stay alert as part of the statewide response. While cases have grown in recent months, DOH emphasizes that the overall risk to the public remains low due to strong vaccination coverage. They report nearly 94% of Pennsylvania kindergarteners in the 2024–2025 school year received both required doses of the MMR vaccine.
According to the DOH, as of June 10, 2026, 64 measles cases have been confirmed in Pennsylvania in 2026.
Given the current outbreak activity and the potential for cases to appear in additional counties, the Department of Health is offering a one‑hour Measles Grand Rounds webinar to help providers recognize symptoms, understand current risks, and respond quickly to suspected cases.
Measles Grand Rounds Webinar Schedule
The sessions will cover clinical presentation, testing and reporting protocols, and best practices for preventing further spread. DOH encourages all health care providers to attend.
