PA Department of Health Issues Alert on International Ebola Disease Outbreak

The PA Department of Health issued an alert on the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo's confirmed outbreak of the Ebola disease after laboratory analysis confirmed the cause as Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD). As of May 18, no suspected, probable, or confirmed Ebola cases related to this outbreak have been reported in the United States. The CDC recommends that travelers monitor themselves for symptoms of BVD while in the outbreak area and for 21 days after leaving.
