Supreme Court Dismisses Appeal Challenging How Risk and Complication Evidence May Be Presented at Trial
On Dec. 10, 2020, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed an appeal by the plaintiffs in the case of Kirksey v. Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh et al. This case, in which PAMED and the AMA filed an amicus brief, involved whether the trial court erred in failing to provide a limiting instruction in a case where risk and complication evidence was presented.

Compliance Date for Federal Rule on EHR Information Blocking Delayed Due to Pandemic
