Pennsylvania Medical Society Inaugurates Bucks County Physician as 176th President

After a 1-year term as vice-president and president-elect, Arvind R. Cavale, MD, a board-certified endocrinologist serving Bucks County, has been inaugurated as the 176th President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED).

Dr. Cavale has been a member of PAMED for over 15 years; actively initiating PAMED policy by participating as a delegate through the Bucks County Medical Society and International Medical Graduate Section. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Political Action Committee (PAMPAC), which is PAMED’s political arm.

Of his inauguration, Dr. Cavale said, “I am grateful and humbled to serve as the 176th President of PAMED. First, I would like to thank my predecessors for laying a great foundation over the past several years. I approach my role with a sense of humility, gratitude and optimism, knowing that our profession would not exist without our patients.”

Dr. Cavale will lead with the PAMED sentiment advancing patient care by strengthening physician autonomy, which focuses on patient beneficence and the best outcomes for their health care. He said, “Physicians who are able to practice autonomously are the best advocates for their patients.”
