• The Coronavirus Treatment Acceleration Program (CTAP) is a special FDA emergency program created to develop possible COVID-19 therapies.  The program uses every available method to move new treatments to patients as quickly as possible, while at the same time finding out whether they are helpful or harmful. The program supports clinical trials that are testing new treatments for COVID to gain valuable knowledge about their safety and effectiveness.
