Medicare Fee-for-Service Claims: Two Percent Payment Adjustment Suspended Through December
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act suspended the sequestration payment adjustment percentage of 2 percent applied to all Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) claims from May 1 through Dec. 31, 2020. A new law extends the suspension period to Dec. 31, 2021.

Restrictive Covenants Legislation Advances in Pa. House

State Board of Medicine Extends MD License Renewal Deadline to 4/30/2021
The State Board of Medicine (Board) has extended the license renewal deadline from the previously extended deadline of March 31, 2021 to April 30, 2021. The Board states that this will be the final extension for these licensees.

Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam Issues First Amendment to Order Regarding Vaccine Providers
This order will in essence require providers who have received first dose allocation vaccines in at least the past two weeks prior to March 16, 2021, to make every effort to schedule appointments for eligible individuals in Phase 1A who request an appointment, including individuals not in the providers’ current patient networks.
