PAMED COVID-19 Briefing:

July 13, 2020

  • Pa. has 328 new cases, bringing statewide total to 95,742 in all 67 Pa. counties. Learn more. View a breakdown of cases here

  • On July 10, the state updated its COVID-19 recommendations for travelers. It has added four more states (Delaware, Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma) to the states for which - if you return to Pennsylvania after travel to one of those states – it is recommended that you quarantine for 14 days upon return. Learn more. The state also offers updated FAQs on its travel recommendations here

  • Pa.  Department of Health Secretary Rachel Levine, MD, held a press conference to provide an update on COVID-19 in the state. She noted that 45 percent of new cases are in the 19-49 age group. Dr. Levine urged the public to remain vigilant with mask-wearing and social distancing to ensure that the cases in younger patients do not lead to an increase in cases among high-risk groups such as individuals 65 and older.

  • The latest updates to Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 Early Warning Monitoring Dashboard – which provides a data for every county in the state over a 7-day period - have been made online. View dashboard.

PAMED is updating the Briefing section of our COVID-19 page. This is where we’ll put the top updates that have happened. If you’d like to receive an email or text when an update is available, you can sign up for either below.
