PA Senate Health Committee Approves Senate Bill 817
This week, the Senate Health Committee approved Senate Bill 817, legislation that will allow physicians, CRNPs, and PAs to satisfy their clinical rotation requirements in a participating Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHCs).

On April 28th Senator Gene Yaw introduced Senate Bill 631. Senate Bill 631 would codify the “Pennsylvania Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (POLST)” for physicians to use for their patients who voluntarily enter a POLST order.

PA State Board of Nursing: Interpretations Regarding the Administration of Drugs
The State Board of Nursing amends 49 Pa. Code § 21.413 Interpretation Regarding the Administration of Drugs-Statement of Policy to clarify that registered nurses may administer a specific amount of conscious sedation medication during minor therapeutic and diagnostic procedures upon a written order of either a physician or a CRNP when either a physician or CRNP is present during the administration.
