Early Career Physicians Scholarship
Early Career Scholarship: Limited to 10 scholarships – applicants selected based on point system. Total award of $2,250 for each applicant so out-of-pocket tuition expense is $250. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
- Applicable to physicians between the ages of 30 and 45 only.
- Physician must maintain PAMED membership throughout 2024.
- Physician must have a minimum of 1 year of continuous membership in PAMED as of January 1, 2024 (member since January 1, 2023 or earlier).
- Physician must have some demonstrated leadership experience with PAMED, their county medical society, and/or a Pennsylvania medical specialty society (e.g., active participant on a task force, workgroup, council, etc.).
- Physician must be committed to providing additional service to PAMED, county medical society, and/or a Pennsylvania medical specialty society after completion of the program.
- Scholarship applications accepted through November 26, 2023.
- Physician must agree to attend all in-person activities and complete all program requirements as scheduled.
Emerging Leader Scholarship
Emerging Leader Scholarship: Open to members who meet the criteria below. Total award of $600 for each applicant so out-of-pocket tuition expense is $1,900. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
- Applicable to hospital-based physicians.
- Physician must maintain PAMED membership throughout 2024.
- Physician must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous membership in PAMED as of January 1, 2024 (member since January 1, 2021 or earlier).
- Must provide a letter of reference from the CEO, CMO or a Department Director of the Hospital/Health System.
- Scholarship applications accepted through November 26, 2023.
- Physician must agree to attend all in-person activities and complete all program requirements as scheduled.
Innovation/Redesign Leader Scholarship
Innovation and Redesign Scholarship: Open to members who meet the criteria below. Total award of $600 for each applicant so out-of-pocket tuition expense is $1,900. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
- Applicable to office-based physicians.
- Physician must maintain PAMED membership throughout 2024.
- Physician must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous membership in PAMED as of January 1, 2024 (member since January 1, 2021 or earlier).
- Must provide a letter of reference from the practice related to roles/responsibilities.
- Scholarship applications accepted through November 26, 2023.
- Physician must agree to attend all in-person activities and complete all program requirements as scheduled.
