Recently, the Pennsylvania Civil Procedural Rules Committee proposed an amendment that would allow medical liability lawsuits to take place outside of the county where the alleged malpractice occurred. If passed, this change would allow attorneys to cherry-pick venues, resulting in more lawsuits and higher premiums for all physicians.
