Recently, the Pennsylvania Civil Procedural Rules Committee proposed an amendment that would allow medical liability lawsuits to take place outside of the county where the alleged malpractice occurred. If passed, this change would allow attorneys to cherry-pick venues, resulting in more lawsuits and higher premiums for all physicians. This WILL critically affect the bond between physician and patient. Voice your opposition to Pennsylvania Rule of Civil Procedure 1006 below.
