According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, common symptoms include fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes.</p><p>The first confirmed case came in Brazil in May 2015, but it made news in the U.S. with reported cases in January 2016.</p><p>PAMED will work with the state Department of Health to keep physicians and the public informed about Pennsylvania's preparedness for this virus.  </p>
