Highmark Announces New Document Attachment Feature Available Via NaviNet

Last Updated: Aug 22, 2019

Doctor-Hand-LaptopIn August 2019, Highmark launched a new feature in NaviNet that allows users to attach supporting documentation at the same time they are submitting authorization requests. The feature can also be used for responding to inquiries and requests for additional information.

Highmark expects that the document attachment option will eliminate the need to fax supporting documents separately or to wait for assistance by phone.

Keep these tips from Highmark in mind when submitting documents through Navinet:

  • Up to five documents can be submitted at a time.
  • Each document must be less than 32 MB in file size.
  • Files should not be password protected.
  • The following file types can be accepted: Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx); Text (.rtf); Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx); Adobe PDF (.pdf); and Images (.jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, .tiff).

For more information on using the new feature, you can view Highmark’s tip sheet here or follow this step-by-step guide.
