The Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) is hosting year-round education for physicians and team leaders in practices, groups, hospitals, and health systems who are candidates for comprehensive leadership training.
The deadline to register for the academy is Aug. 15, 2017.
The program provides physicians with broad, practical leadership training; facilitates networking and mentoring for participants; and helps them resolve challenges within their practice settings.
The 10-month program will run from
Sept. 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018 will include online courses and three day-long live sessions. Participants in the Fall 2017 learning group will be able to earn 52.5 CME credits and 45.5 credits toward the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) certification if they complete the full complement of courses.
All courses are accredited for CME through the American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL), or the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Registration fee includes all educational materials, CME credit, and breakfast and lunch at the three in-person courses. Travel expenses associated with in-person courses are not included and are the responsibility of the individual participant.

Certified Physician Executive (CPE)
Most courses in this program qualify for credit toward the CPE designation and for AAPL’s master’s degree programs with Carnegie Mellon University, Thomas Jefferson University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and University of Southern California.
