PA Department of Health Granted New Authority to Combat Hazardous Substances
On June 8, 2016, Governor Wolf signed Act 37 into law. Modeled after a federal law, part of Act 37 provides provides unprecedented authority to the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) to schedule substances on a temporary basis and quickly add substances in reaction to federal scheduling.
