Recent Data Demonstrates Physician Commitment to the Opioid Crisis

Physicians continue to demonstrate their commitment to addressing the opioid crisis in Pennsylvania as evidenced by recent data shared at the April 27, 2021 ABC-MAP meeting.
The following data was reported at the meeting:
- Consistent drops in the prescription of both opioids and benzodiazepines
- Consistent reduction in overlapping benzodiazepines/opioid prescribing
- Consistent reduction of high dosage patients
- An ongoing increase in Suboxone prescribing.
