New for 2021: The Foundation of PAMED Offers Two $10,000 Scholarships

Established in 2021, the Snyder, Union or Northumberland County Scholarships (“SUN” Scholarship) is the largest award currently offered by the Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Two $10,000 awards will be offered to a second or third-year medical student that is a resident of the SUN counties. This award is made possible by contributions received from Marjorie Poff Gillespie, MD, one of the first female physicians from the “SUN” County region. The SUN Scholarship has an extended application deadline of October 31, 2021.

The Foundation offers multiple scholarships available to Pennsylvania residents enrolled in fully accredited medical schools. Applications for these scholarships are due Sept. 30, 2021.
