The Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) invites Letters of Intent (LOIs) for one-time health care innovation grants. These competitive grants will fund projects that encourage, facilitate, recognize, and reward innovative and creative approaches to the field of medicine, with a goal of balancing cost containment and quality of care.
PAMED will be awarding up to a total of $500,000 for innovative projects. Individual grant amounts will not exceed $100,000. This is a member-only benefit.
PAMED is thrilled to invite its members who have ideas of innovative projects that can be replicated and applied across the state to submit LOIs. Examples include projects that:
- Address health care inequities impacting patients
- Support various forms of collaboration across organizations and services
- Test new business and staffing models
- Assess opportunities to employ technology to enhance patient access and outcomes
- Address systemic access barriers experienced by patients
- Assess and test the feasibility of data sharing between safety net providers
- Demonstrate the value of evidence-based case management practices and strength-based approaches to patient engagement

LOIs are being accepted through Aug. 6, 2021, and will be reviewed by a physician-led committee. Those with projects that are consistent with the intent of the grant will be invited to submit a full proposal. Proposals will be accepted from Aug. 30 through Oct. 8, 2021. For proposals that are selected for funding, the grant cycle will be Dec. 1, 2021, through Nov. 30, 2022.
