For more than 60 years, The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society has proudly served as the 501(c)(3) philanthropic affiliate of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Foundation contributors can fulfill their charitable interests in the medical community by contributing to three core programs.
The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society provides programs and services for individual physicians and others that improve the well-being of Pennsylvanians and sustain the future of medicine.
Physicians' Health Program (PHP)
Provides advocacy, information, and monitored recovery services to physicians and dentists struggling with chemical, psychiatric, or physical impairments. Offers education to health care professionals about addiction and other impairing conditions.
Student Financial Services
Provides loans to medical students who are residents of Pennsylvania and attend U.S. medical schools. Administers scholarships for organizations and individuals who wish to support medical student education.
Provides comprehensive and confidential physician clinical competency assessments and recommendations for remediation.
