Health care ethics is a set of moral principles, beliefs and values designed to guide providers in making choices about medical care. In the U.S., four main principles define the ethical duties that health care professionals owe to patients. They are:

  • Autonomy: to honor the patients right to make their own decision
  • Beneficence: to help the patient advance his/her own good
  • Nonmaleficence: to do no harm
  • Justice: to be fair and treat like cases alike

Join our facilitator and other PAMED members in discussing the application of health care ethics as we explore various topics in contemporary medicine. This member-only CME activity will be held quarterly and conducted through Zoom.
