(Harrisburg, Pa. – 2/16/18) Two physicians were recently chosen by the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s (PAMED) Board of Trustees to fill vacant seats.
Those joining the board include
David A. Csikos, MD, FACP – an internal medicine specialist from Windber, who will serve until October 2018 as PAMED’s 11th District Trustee. In this position, he will represent physician members from Bedford, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Somerset, and Washington counties. He was endorsed by the Cambria County Medical Society and has 38 years of clinical practice experience. Currently, Dr. Csikos is Vice President for Medical Affairs at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, and he is affiliated with WindberCare Physicians.
Joseph A. Anistranski, MD, FAAFP – a family medicine physician from Forty Fort, who will serve until October 2018 as PAMED’s 12th District Trustee. On PAMED’s board, he will represent physician members from Bradford, Luzerne, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties. Dr. Anistranski was endorsed by the Luzerne County Medical Society. He brings with him more than 30 years of clinical experience, and is currently affiliated with The Wright Center.
Both physicians began immediately in their roles at PAMED on February 6. Members of PAMED’s Board of Trustees are responsible for reviewing matters that directly impact patient care and affect physicians in the commonwealth.
