MACRA Made Simple: A Guide to the Quality Payment Program Year 2

The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) created the Quality Payment Program (QPP) to change the way the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rewards physicians and non-physician practitioners for quality and value over volume. The QPP is driving into Year 2 with changes that include further burden reduction and bonus opportunities for participants as part of CMS’ Patients over Paperwork Initiative.

This 15-page member-exclusive guide is designed to inform Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) members about participation and changes to the QPP’s two tracks: The Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or Advanced Alternative Payment Models (Advanced APMs).
