Guide Helps Providers Meet MOC Requirements

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ’s) new field guide, Opportunities for Integrating MOC Part IV Requirements into PBRN Practices, is designed to offer guidance for providers about the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process.

The goal of this document is to help practice-based research networks (PBRNs) align their infrastructure and activities to support physicians in meeting MOC Part IV (quality/practice improvement) requirements. Organizations can use the guide to help providers participate in activities that seek to improve quality of care in practices, while meeting professional board certification requirements.

The Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) continues to work to address physician concerns with the MOC process.
