As the only statewide association representing all physicians, the physician leadership and staff of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) recognize the important role we play in timely curation and dissemination of accurate information related to the coronavirus or COVID-19.
As this new virus enters Pennsylvania, PAMED is committed to providing the most accurate information available for our website. You can find the information here: www.pamedsoc.org/coronavirus. We’re proud to note that PAMED was mentioned as one of the most credible sources of coronavirus information in Pennsylvania alongside the Department of Health and Johns Hopkins University.
Internally, a Coronavirus Response Team has been established and is meeting regularly to determine what information our members need quick access to. We will continue to do so in the weeks to come and are committed to fast, accurate communication.
PAMED staff is the backbone of our operations and technology is in place to allow our team to continue to fulfill all of their roles and duties while staying healthy – whether that be remotely or at the office. To that end, plans have been put into place to modify some upcoming PAMED and TEAM (Total Excellence in Association Management – PAMED’s association management group) managed meetings to meet virtually. I’m also meeting with staff regularly to keep them apprised of the newest and most important coronavirus information.
As this public health concern changes each day, PAMED is committed to keeping our physicians as up to date as possible. As you have questions or concerns, I urge you to visit www.pamedsoc.org/coronavirus often.
Thank you for your membership and your commitment to your patients.
