Targeting Blood Pressure: Connecting Provider & Community
About 85 million adults in the United States have high blood pressure. Research shows that 45.6 percent (over 36.7 million people) of those with high blood pressure are not controlled, and doctors are judged by health insurance on the health outcomes of their patients.
The American Heart Association is offering a free symposium, Targeting Blood Pressure: Connecting Provider & Community. The purpose of this symposium is to bring providers and members of the Pittsburgh community together to discuss the urgency of improving blood pressure, as well as sharing best practice approaches from the most prestigious experts in the field.
