Credentialing Checklist
In order to participate in Pennsylvania HMOs, physicians are required to have hospital admitting privileges. Because the process of hospital credentialing can take many months, physicians should begin gathering the necessary documentation as quickly as possible.

Be sure to set up a meeting with the chairperson of the hospital section/department in which you'll be working. This will help you determine if the hospital requires any additional documents not mentioned on our credentialing checklist. |
Here's a checklist of items you generally need to complete the credentialing process and obtain hospital privileges.
