Patient Satisfaction: A Must for Every Practice

A simple patient satisfaction survey can be of great benefit to a medical practice. Many practices, however, do not measure patient satisfaction, often because they think it is difficult or time consuming.

Patient satisfaction surveying can be a fairly straightforward process that involves a simple survey. But you shouldn’t bother surveying if you aren’t going to do anything with the results. It is critical that all parties – physicians, office staff, and others – agree to analyze and utilize data from the surveys.

There are at least five benefits of doing satisfaction surveys in your practice:

  1. More positive relationships with patients
  2. A growing patient base through positive word-of-mouth
  3. Reduced liability risk by uncovering problems early
  4. Demonstrated satisfaction levels to insurance companies and hospitals
  5. Happier patients mean better quality of life for you and your office staff
